Familiarity with a warehouse environment and GMPs is preferred. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Work off production sheets, direct crew, check quality, and ensure all daily production is complete. 2. Learn and effectively perform all duties to open and close the room for associates. 3. Train crew members on all necessary functions on their individual positions. 4. Ensure products are made to correct yields and control overproduction. 5. Ensure all product overage is used daily and minimize waste. 6. Ensure all QC Customer product is inspected and produced to specs. 7. Ensure proper QA processes are in place and are being documented. 8. Report equipment damaged and issues in quality to Supervisors or Quality Assurance 9. Assist with yield studies as needed. 10. Ensure production HACCP, SOPs, GMPs and safety rules are followed. 11. Ensure sample requests are made correctly and completed to sample request specs. 12. Work with supervisors to release crews to breaks and lunches. 13. Ensure all processing areas are keep clean, neat and organized. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. 1. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, work systematically, and follow written and verbal instructions. 2. Basic reading, writing and problem solving. 3. Computer, label printing skills. Immediately inform management team of any deviations. • Unload product from truck, by hand or using hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions. • Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 30 pounds, up to 50 pounds; frequently reach up to 72” to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart; constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items from truck. • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns. • Collect checks where required, and turn in all funds collected daily. • Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco policies and procedures. • Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required. • Follow SyscoSafe preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. • Maintain sanitary conditions in the company vehicle and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard. • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, palletsjacks and personal protective equipment. • Attend all required company meetings. • Other duties may be assigned. Basic Requirements: • Must be 21+ years of age • Valid Driver’s License with a “clean” driving record (including: no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 10 years) • 1 year driving experience (For internal associates, or if market conditions warrant, Sysco may opt to require completion of Sysco’s Entry-Level Driver Training Program within first 12 weeks of Driver employment. • Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). • Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check.)
