POSITION SUMMARY: This is an Operations position responsible for performing clerical duties within the Transportation department including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc. • Answer phones, route calls and take messages. • Research short on truck that driver''s call in. • Respond to delivery associate issue and provide support for resolution. • Create Driver Qualification files as needed and maintain all required documents in Supervision as required under Department of Transportation guidelines, i.e. driver''s license status, Medical Examination Cards, Certificate of Violations, monitor MVR status, etc. • Monitor and review all driver logs and violations through the onboard computer system, Telogis • Run daily reports for transportation supervisors, i.e. Observations, Vehicle Tracking, etc. • Daily monitoring of Drive Cam Events and processing them for coaching and signatures. • Backup for New Driver DOT Training • Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management. • Making all backhaul appointments and scheduling drivers to make backhauls QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Qualifications: • 2 years'' distribution/transportation experience in a high volume, route delivery operation Education and / or Experience: • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent Professional Skills: • Strong leadership, analytical and motivational skills • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of windows operating system and utilizing Excel and Word • Knowledge of Manpower scheduling Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: • Valid Driver License Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. JOB SUMMARY This is an Operations position responsible for moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading. This is a night shift position and hours will vary. RESPONSIBILITIES • Collaborates with the loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments. • Checks to ensure that each unit is sealed and that the refrigeration unit is operating correctly and running. • Moves trucks and trailers from dock to dock as needed to complete the loading process. • Ensures the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area. • Works with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route. • Works closely with fleet shop management to ensure any repairs are finished before using the equipment. • Help keep truck parking yard free of debris and trash. • Arranges trucks and trailers on the yard in an orderly and efficient manner. • Moves trucks and trailers for receiving when needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education • Less than high school education. Experience • 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred. • Truck backing experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations • Commercial Drivers License (CDL). • Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco.
