We design, build, install and support world class automation and production systems in the aerospace, appliance, automotive, consumer, cosmetic, medical, office and rubber products industries.
This Mechanical Automation Engineer is responsible for creating concepts and proposals for custom equipment, automation systems, and product design and engineering services, and supports both project engineering and sales. You must have an understanding of automation, machine control and data acquisition systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical design concepts.
Engineering Degree in one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic or Automation. Experience may be considered in lieu of a specific Degree.
Experience in the following:
Automation (Custom Machines)
Pricing of Engineering based projects
Proposal development and writing Technical writing and reasonable keyboard skills
3D solid modeling (AutoCAD and / or Solidworks preferred)
Sales – interest or experience is considered an asset

| Automation Technician -
We are looking for an Automation Technician
Responsible for performing technical duties related manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical and pneumatic automated valve assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pull stock and buyout items for assembly and shipment of customer orders or transfers;
Inspect all fabricated and purchased materials to ensure that customer specifications and industry codes and standards are met;
Document non-conforming material and subsequent required corrective action;
Document and maintaining files as required to permit certification of compliance with product specification;
Assemble and test mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic automated assemblies;
Perform assembly on various types of electric or pneumatic assemblies;
Perform pre-installation inspections to assist the project team;
Serve as point of contact for technical/quality issues for local sales representatives;
Report customer concerns and technical issues to local sales representatives;
Coordinate communication between the sales office and the warehouse to assure efficient and timely deliveries to customers;
Establish a friendly and effective working relationship with manufacturers and internal and external customers using written; correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills
Maintain 24-hour availability as needed in order to lend assistance to Branch Manager;
Mount actuators to valve;
Perform modifications to actuators (seals, spring changes);
Mount and calibrate basic accessories (Limit Switches, Solenoids, Quick exhausts).
Build panels to mount accessories;
Ability to read schematics;
Basic understanding of electrical wiring;
Ability to read wiring diagrams.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned;
Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.
High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree) or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;
One year mechanical experience;
Two years of related industry experience, either with a similar work environment;
Strong knowledge of, or ability to learn, products and processes;
Basic mechanical knowledge of gearing, bearings, and moving assemblies;
Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic type equipment usage (e.g., pneumatic and electric tools, fixtures and test equipment);
Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components;
Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand and power tools;
Ability to learn and operate material handling equipment;
Ability to establish working rapport with local management, technical inside and outside sales representatives, warehouse associates, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills;
Typing and computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook);
Knowledge of or ability to learn warehouse business processes and software;
Knowledge of operating standard office equipment;
Ability to learn and be proficient in working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve automation assemblies;
Ability to read and translate schematics and P.I.D.s.

Our client, with corporate headquarters in Nashua, NH, is seeking an Entry-Level Field Service Engineer to assist with installation and repair of complex audio-visual systems at customer sites throughout the world.
This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and offers the opportunity to develop skills in field service, project management, customer support or sales.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication, math (geometry, algebra, trigonometry), customer relationship, multi-tasking, troubleshooting and time management skills. Must have the ability to read schematics/block diagrams, good hearing and eyesight (correctable) and ability to discern colors, reasonable strength and agility. Some heavy lifting and scaffold climbing at heights is required.
Understanding of IT/networking, including the ability to install computers, wire racks and run cables. Knowledge of Windows software. Some knowledge of electrical, mechanical, carpentry and masonry is a strong plus. Experience with video projection, and/or audio system experience and/or foreign language skills are strong pluses.
This position will require extensive travel, both domestic and international including some weekend and evening work. A valid US passport or the ability to obtain one is required. On-the-job training will be provided while assisting the lead field service engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in any engineering/technical discipline is required and a desire and talent for hands-on work.
